More About Portia
Portia, the founder of Tutoring with Portia, is a qualified teacher and private tutor. She has 7 years of teaching experience and a First-Class Honours degree in Primary Education from the University of Plymouth. Portia has spent the majority of her career working as Year 6 class teacher and English subject leader and therefore has extensive knowledge of the end of Key Stage 2 assessment procedure, including 11 Plus preparation.

Portia now works as a full time, self-employed private tutor. She offers personalised 1:1 and small group tuition to suit children of all needs and abilities in reading, writing, maths, spelling and 11+ preparation. Portia teaches all of her lessons online, using a variety of engaging and interactive activities to suit all ages and abilities. Therefore, lessons can take place in your own home, no matter where you live!
