We’ve covered everything we can in preparation for tomorrow’s Paper 3 exam, and now it’s time for these young people to go and show what they can do. 💪

💛 It’s hard to put into words how proud I am of all my Year 11 students.

It’s been a wonderful couple of years, and for some students, we’ve been working together for four years which has made the journey all the more special.

One of the most rewarding parts of being a tutor is walking alongside students through those years, watching them grow in confidence and ability.

But it also makes the goodbyes that much harder. 😢

While we still have more Year 11 lessons coming up in science, this is the end of the road for maths - a subject I’ve had the pleasure and privilege of teaching myself. 🙏

It’s a very busy time right now - 📚 exam season is in full swing, and demand for tutoring has been higher than ever.

I could easily spend every hour at my desk 💻 teaching and prepping… but I’ve been making a conscious effort to take regular breaks and enjoy the sunshine. ☀️

Spending time outdoors - even just for a short walk, sitting in the garden 🌸, or taking a day off where I can - has done wonders for my energy and focus.

It’s so important to pause, reset, and give your brain a breather 💆‍♀️- especially during high-pressure times.

To support our students, �we’re running Exam Eve Sessions� the night before each of the upcoming English and Maths GCSEs. These are focused, supportive revision sessions designed to boost confidence, review key content, and ease last-minute nerves.

I didn’t quite hit my time goal (the heat + a stubborn cough didn’t help!), but I’m honestly SO proud. Not long ago, running even 5km felt impossible… and now I’ve completed a full marathon! 🙌

I was lucky to have an amazing maths teacher who made everything click. But not every child gets that experience.

Instead, I hear so many stories of students feeling frustrated, confused, and losing confidence in their abilities.

💡 However, most children don’t struggle with maths because they "can’t do it" - they struggle because they haven’t been taught in a way that makes sense to them.

That’s exactly what I do in my tutoring sessions! I help students:

✅ Learn simple strategies to tackle tricky problems
✅ Shift from feeling overwhelmed to feeling capable
