How do I make a payment?

You will receive a monthly credit request for upfront payment for all lessons booked in the following month.

Payment is must be made by the 27th day of each month. For example, payment is due by 27th September for lessons booked in October.

When you pay a credit request, your TutorCruncher account balance will increase accordingly.

After a lesson has taken place, the fee will be taken from your TutorCruncher account and your credit will be adjusted accordingly. You will receive an email receipt of this.

There are 3 ways to pay:

Bank Transfer

You can choose to pay via bank transfer into the Tutoring with Portia bank account. If choosing this option, please use the Student’s name as the reference.

Direct Debit

Using GoCardless will be the most seamless method of paying for your child’s tuition.

This option will mean that you don't have to remember to pay for tuition each month. The correct amount will automatically be taken from your bank account, according to how many lessons are scheduled in the following month.

You will receive an email 3 days before the payment is taken outlining the future charges. This means that you can make any changes to scheduled lessons or cancel any payments if you wish.

When you authorise GoCardless to make payments to us, it allows this application to connect with your account on GoCardless.

Online Card Payments

When you receive a credit request via email, you will actively have to choose to make this payment by entering your card details.

If payment is not made upon receipt of the invoice, a payment reminder will be automatically sent after 2 days. If payment is still not made by the 27th day of the month, an automatic ‘late payment’ fee of £10 will be added.

When you authorise Stripe to make payments to us, it allows this application to connect with the User’s account on Stripe.
