More About Amy
Amy is a qualified English teacher with a BA in English Language, a PGCE Secondary, and an MA in Education with SEND.
She has taught in UK secondary classrooms and has been tutoring for over six years, most recently as a full-time tutor.

She tutors English Language and Literature from KS2 through to GCSE.
Her work ranges from building vocabulary and spelling with younger students to helping GCSE students explore complex texts such as An Inspector Calls.
She plans every lesson around the individual student, so that tricky ideas finally click.

Her sessions are active and engaging, using interactive tasks, timed activities, and purposeful games to keep students focused and motivated while making real progress.

Amy has a particular interest in supporting students with additional needs. Alongside her Master’s in SEND, she has worked 1:1 with children with complex learning needs.
Her patient, encouraging approach ensures every student feels comfortable and able to succeed.
