About Me
I was once a full-time teacher who had a dream to leave the classroom and become self-employed. Well, guess what? I've been there, done that, and now I'm here to spill all the secrets!
I am now a self-employed, full-time private tutor who has been running Tutoring with Portia for four years. Over the past four years, I have developed my business from working by myself to running a team of 17 tutors who deliver 1:1 and small group sessions to students all over the world! I replaced my full-time teacher salary within 12 months and now can't imagine myself doing anything else!

In three years, I have worked with over 200 families. I create all my social media posts myself using free apps and have never paid for advertising.

I use different systems to run my business. This includes lesson scheduling, sending invoices, taking payment and automating emails to appear in parents' inboxes.
