Nicola brings nearly 10 years of classroom experience to every session. She holds a First Class Honours degree in English and Education Studies and spent 8 years teaching at a large secondary school in Greater Manchester.
She puts student well-being first. Her sessions build confidence alongside skills, so students feel comfortable, supported, and ready to make progress.
Fully Qualified Teacher
Nicola is a fully qualified teacher with an Enhanced DBS check which is on the update service.

More About Nicola
Nicola is a qualified English teacher and private tutor with nearly 10 years of experience.
She holds a First Class Honours degree in English and Education Studies and taught at a large secondary school in Greater Manchester for 8 years, where she also served as Whole School Mental Health and Wellbeing Lead from 2020 to 2023.
In October 2023, she left the classroom to focus on tutoring full time.
Nicola is passionate about building confidence and resilience in students. She gives young people the tools to access the English curriculum and genuinely enjoy it.
She is a trained Mental Health First Aider (MHFA England) and completed her Senior Mental Health Lead training in May 2022.
She tailors every lesson to the individual. Nicola has experience working with students with a range of SEND needs and plans all resources to be inclusive and accessible.
Her approach is personable, empathetic, and focused on helping each student believe in their own ability.
Nicola works with KS3 and KS4 students and looks forward to supporting your child on their English journey.
